Shimirose was founded 2008 and started trading as a business in 2018 in London. We are a luxury vegan brand with an ethos to make people feel good, by using natural ingredients,  predominantly Shea Butter. Some of our products are blended with natural essential oils. In 2020 our business became a Limited company.

Ethical

We source our shea butter through family connections in Ghana, so we know exactly how it’s made. Our source is trustworthy, and we ensure that all of our products are made ethically. In addition, we also source our shea butter from a local company working with a longstanding community of women in North Ghana. By working with the local company, a member of the Global Shea Alliance, we actively support these women and their families, by ensuring the farmers and workers are paid a fair price.

Environmentally friendly

Our environment is at the heart of all that we do, afterall, it’s nature that provides us with our wonderful shea butter in the first place. We ensure a low carbon footprint by sourcing our shea butter from Ghana in large bulk quantities. In addition, 98% of our packaging is recycled or recyclable.

We use paper bags, or fabric gift bags, paper labels and promotional material. Our shea butter is packaged in glass jars with aluminum lids. We present our products on wooden trays and boards. Finally, our stall displays and stands are made from wood and bamboo, and we aim to be kind to our surroundings and planet through all that we do.

Animal lovers

We take every necessary step to ensure that our products are cruelty free - this means we do not test on animals, and we do not condone animal testing.

We are passionate about our products and the results it brings to our customer's lives. We use all natural ingredients, from our shea butter to our essential oils sourced in Ghana and the UK respectively. All of our products are made by hand to ensure we deliver the same premium quality across each and every individual jar. Our products are free from parabens and toxins - we strive to provide a range that’s kind to our bodies using only the best all natural ingredients.
